    This is a repack of two dub versions previously released on WHIM037. If you're one of the 7 people who have downloaded WHIM037 before 23.03.2025, you already have those two tracks in your collection. But since these two versions are alternative mixes by Dub Rogue without the Irish instruments by Johnny Ireland, we felt that they were misplaced in the "Ireland Dubs" series.

    Instead, these two versions now introduce a brandnew format in our label's portfolio: Outtakes.

    "Whimsical Outtakes" is an ongoing project which spans over all other series and features alternative mixes, remixes and retakes of previously released music on our label. 8 episodes of this series form 1 season. At the end of a season will most likely not come an album compiling all the episodes into one release, because the outtakes are not thematically connected.

    In the first episode of season one, we have two additional dub remixes by Dub Rogue of WHIM037's "The Maid Who Sold Her Barley" by Johnny Ireland (http://whimsicalmusic.bandcamp.com/album/ireland-dubs-s01e04).

    Dub Rogue added offbeat skanks to this odd 6/8 bar riddim which he "didn't think would be possible and sound well". Well, it was possible, and at least to our ears sounds well as well. The outerworldly, slightly asynchronous bassline is what gets us though. ;-p
