Info:
"Master Dubs" is an ongoing series in which Retro Dubber creates dub versions of his beloved childhood memories playing video games on the Sega Master System console. 8 episodes of this series form 1 season. At the end of a season might or might not come an album compiling all the episodes into one release.
The first episode of the first season has been on Retro's to do list for almost 30 years. He once made it to the secret 10th level in the original Wonder Boy game. This song features melody fragments of the game's souundtrack and mixes them together into a blend of dub, reggae and chiptune. Whimsical, as always.
Retro still remembers fondly how he opened the christmas present containing the "Wonder Boy" cartridge and being worried, because his family only had an Atari 2600. Slowly his brain synapses started buzzing with energy, making him realise that the big present in front of him would be the Sega Master System console. One of the best memories of his whole life.
L. Huger, music critic from Helsinki: "The latest Whimsical brainworm by the timewarping Retro Dubber is the trippiest so far. Listening to Retro's mashed up sounds of Horseman and Sega Master System feels like being inside a mythical story happening deep underground, in a crystal cave made out of pixelated diamonds."

The video was features one clip (at the beginning) of the demo showcase that autoplays if you don't start the game, recorded on an emulator. The clips after that are compiled from this playthrough. We could have played the game ourselves and record it, but we didn't have the time. Adult life, you know...
