Info:

"Kinder Dubs" is an ongoing series in which the German musician Peter Platan revisits children's songs that have shaped his worldview over four decades ago. The target group for "Kinder Dubs" are children, so play the songs to your kids, if you have any. Karaoke versions enable you to sing along with your offspring. 8 episodes of this series form 1 season. At the end of a season might or might not come an album compiling all the episodes into one release.

The first episode of the first season is a rootical steppers remix of the wonderful song "Die Postfrau" by Christiane + Fredrik from their 1976 vinyl album "Der Fuchs" (Discogs). The song starts innocently with a description of a typical workday of a postwoman, but develops into a strong message against mysogyny and inequality at the workplace.

The song has been stuck in Peter's mind all his life, and gender equality, salary fairness, and a safe space at work (and everywhere else) have always been a given for him. Maybe because of this song? The vocal has been extracted from the original song, and this remix is meant as a thanks and tribute to the original (YouTube).
