Photos by Norbert Bauer (R.I.P.)
Back in the old dubflash.com days, I had exclusively published some rare reggae photos by a former co-worker of mine, Norbert Bauer. He attended various reggae concerts in the 70s and 80s in Berlin and took (mostly) black and white photos.
Norbert was a quiet man at work and I remember that he must have overheard me talking about reggae one day. So he came to me, shyly, and inquired about that. And wouldn't you know. Suddenly he showed his real side. For the few months we worked in the same department, we spend as much time together during work to talk about reggae & dub, and eventually he showed me his photos. He didn't know what precious gems he had there.
I was so excited to put those photos on the website. The photos got quite some recognition. One of the photos was used for the cover of the Prince Far I “Health & Strentgh” album on Pressure Sound.
